Obviously, I'm horrible at blogging!
I've been waiting to sit down and catch up on everything that's happened in the past couple of months, but never got around to it! Today I read this post http://www.inthiswonderfullife.com/2012/04/why-i-do-it.html and it really made me want to be a better blogger! So I've decided just to start at the present time and if I am able to go back and catch up sometime then I will.
I worked Saturday night and slept most of the day Sunday. Monday I spent at home relaxing and cleaning and Tuesday I spent the day sewing! I get in these random moods where all I wanna do is sew. I made a changing pad cover for the babies room, a TN Vols gown, a diaper strap, car seat strap covers, and another blanket! I'm pretty sure Alan hates it when I sew because the kitchen ends up being a disaster!
I did go Tuesday and get my nails done for the 1st time in forever! Think I'll try to do it more often, maybe it'll keep me from biting them so much!
The past two weeks were pretty busy, but I wanna run through them anyway!
On Tuesday the 19th Daddy called me and said he was on his way to the hospital. They had called and said Papaw wasn't doing very good and he needed to come. I met them there at spent some time with them. Papaw was pretty with it at that point. He knew and recognized Daddy and was talking to him about the tractor. I had to work Tuesday evening so after I left the hospital I went home and napped. Tuesday night at work was crazy and I didn't get to go up to see him until Wednesday morning as I was leaving. He just kept telling me that I needed to move before I got killed. We are thinking that maybe he thought he was back in the woods cutting logs. Anyway, by the time I made it to work Wednesday evening he had really deteriorated. He wasn't really responding to anything. He would look your way when you talked to him, but nothing beyond that. Thursday morning I went to see him before I left and he was resting peacefully so I did not wake him up. Around 9 or 10 that morning his nurse called me and said he wasn't looking good. I got out of bed and headed to the hospital but they called to say he had passed before I got there.
I met Daddy and took Little Man with me while Daddy went into the room. Later that evening I met him in Jamestown and picked up Little Man. He spent the night with me Thursday and Friday. I love getting to spend time with him! He is the best baby, but HATES his car seat. We took him to the park to swing and play! Not sure he was impressed with the slide but he did enjoy swinging! Saturday evening was the receiving friends and Sunday was the funeral. I actually took Little Man outside during the service so he wouldn't interrupt.
I was scheduled to work on Monday but was able to take bereavement. I was back on Tuesday, which was my orientees last night on orientation. After resting on Wednesday Alan and I met Mom to pick up Logan. We went to El Tap for dinner and then home! On Thursday, I had a Dr. app @ 0845. Hr was in the 130's and she said everything looked good, come back in 2 weeks! After that we had some things to do in town and then we went home and I napped. Alan and Logan went fishing! I had to be back in town @ 1430 to preregister with the hospital and anesthesia. We all went to the pond fishing after we got back home. Alan grilled us some BBQ chicken for dinner and we called it a night! On Friday, Logan and I spent most of the day in town. I HAD to get new eyeglasses, so we did that and did some shopping. Alan worked so he didn't get home until late. Logan spend the night with us again!
Saturday, me and Logan had breakfast at the Huddle House and then met Mom so he could go back home. I love him and he's grown into such a little man! I love that we can have actual conversations together! I am so blessed and so lucky to have 2 young brothers! I had to work Saturday night and thankfully was able to do monitors so it was a nice night!
I did make some homemade laundry detergent on Tuesday. I haven't used it yet, but am excited to try it! Hopefully we'll like it!
I'm working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week :(. I cannot believe I will be 34 weeks on Friday. Only 6 left! Woo Hoo! I'm so ready for this little man to get here! On top of working my normal hours next week I have a dr. app., a class for work, maternity pictures, and Kelsie's shower! It's gonna be busy, but makes the time pass faster!
