Logan's 1st Race

Logan raced for the 1st time last weekend.  They have been talking about it for a long time and he finally got to!  He was so excited and didn't seem a bit nervous, although I was a ball of emotions.  When I got there they day, they had buzzed his hair off which makes him look older, plus he looked taller, and now he's racing.  So all I kept thinking about was how fast he's growing up and I absolutely HATE it.  I wish he could stay little forever!
This is Michael talking to him before his practice round.  Michael is the one who got Logan into dirt bikes and Nicole and Michael both spend A LOT of time with him and much of that time is spent riding!  Michael is such a great influence for him and I'm so glad Logan has someone like him to look up to!
This is Logan right out of the gate!  He was racing with around 15 other kids up to 8  years old, but its 3 different classes.  I know you can't tell here, but the ground is really bumpy and Logan isn't used to riding on that type of dirt, he didn't wreck though...
However, this is right before he wrecked.  Mom got it on camera.  He drove right of the side of that tabletop and scared the crap out of all of us!  I was really afraid he was hurt, but Michael got to him and he got right back on his bike!
This is still during the practice round, almost done with his 1st lap!
This picture is him coming out during is 1st race!  He did so good and I am so proud of him!
Waiting for his 2nd race to start...
Hanging out with olivia.  I just love this picture.  These 2 are inseparable when they are together.  She is the perfect little girl.  She likes to get dressed up, but is tough, and tomboy-ish at the same time.  She loves Logan and he adores her and she is SO protective of him.  When he was getting ready for his race, she was helping him put his chest protector and helmet on and I just thought it was ADORABLE!

OVERALL, Logan did great.  He got 3rd place and only had one wreck that really scared me.  During the last race, he was really starting to drive faster.  It didn't make me as nervous as I thought it would.  He got a plaque after his race and now he's hooked.

I'm super disappointed though because I work the next two Saturdays, then I have Supertwang, and then Alan's party so I won't get to see him race again for a month : (

I can't believe how big he is getting...

Week Recap!

work mond-wedn. as usual.

Thursday evening we went to Justin Moore at the Wildhorse Saloon.  I had never been there but it is PERFECT for concerts and I can't wait to go back.  It's a huge room with 3 (I think) different levels.  You can go to any of the levels and get a seat (if you get there early enough) and set around the balcony or you can do what we did and stand on the floor and get really close to the stage.  Brit and I had just seen Justin Moore at the Miranda concert and I fell in love with him then.  He is awesome, writes a lot of his songs, and is a great performer.  I love ALL of his songs and his new one "If Heaven wasn't so far Away" is so touching, I just love it!  We met Brandon, Blake, Brook, and Danielle at Hooters before the concert and had dinner.  Anyhow the concert was awesome and I had a great time, although I was worn out!  We went straight home after the concert

Chris Young made a surprise appearance

Friday, I spent most of the day working on pictures.  That evening Josh, Jake, Brandon, and Christy came over.  Be played P&A, country dance on the wii, and drank lots of alcohol.  It was nice to have a night at home.

The boys passed out...

On saturday I went to see baby brother at the hospital and take them his car seat.  He's grown so much and is so adorable.  He was supposed to come home soon but he keeps having apnea's and brady's so they are gonna hold onto him for a while longer.

After that, I went to watch Logan race for the 1st time...I'm gonna do another post on that!

Sugarland!!!

2 weekends ago we went to Nashville for Sugarland.  By we, I mean Me, Alan, Brit, Thad, Jo, Noah, and Hatcher.  Brit, Jo, and I had planned on going to the concert for a while and Thad's Birthday was also that weekend so we decided to do it all at the same time.  Of course, the guys did not go to the concert.

Brit, Jo, alan, noah, and I all rode together and we ended up going to Starstruck Studios (Reba's studio) to visit Chris (Alan's Friend.)  Alan had been a couple of times before but the rest of us had never been.  Chris showed us around the whole studio!  It was awesome...
Outside of the studio...

After we left there, we went to our hotel, met the rest of the crew and started pre-gaming.  After we all got ready, we went to Hooters, well Thad and I made a pit stop at the Harley store to buy some shirts for each other, ate dinner, had a few drinks and then split up.  Who knows what the boys did or where they went.  All I know is that when we met back up with them after the concert Thad and Noah were WASTED, Hatcher was gone, and Alan was sober.....lol!

Moving on, the concert was AMAZING.  I lOVE, LOVE, LOVE, live music and concerts and I've really never been to a concert that I didn't love, but this one was amazing.  It was almost as good as Garth Brooks.  Jennifer Nettles has so much energy.  She was jumping around and dancing everywhere!  Jennifer and Kristian's voices are perfect together!  Little Big Town opened for them and although I didn't know many of their songs I still really enjoyed them!

After the concert, we met up with the boys at Big Bang.  They got Thad on stage for his birthday and it was hilarious!  We also met up with Court, Brit, Danielle, and Brook there...Love those girls!  Big Bang was super crowded and really hot and we all got hungry so we walked next door to paradise park, ate, and then got a taxi back to the hotel.  The girls came down for a bit and then we all went to bed.

It was a great night!  And I'm so thankful to have great friends who like to have a good time...

 crammed in the taxi...as usual!

Next concert on the list...Justin Moore...April 21st @ Wildhorse!

Oh, I almost forgot.  Jo about got in a fight with some ol' hag at the concert.  The people in front of us were standing and so were we and she asked us to sit down.  Ummm, hello!  It's a freakin concert.  If you didn't want to have to stand up to see you should have requested a different seat....like one on the front row of any of the levels, or even and the end of a row!  It was hilarious.  Although, when the left the poured a whole bottle of water all over he seat and her north face...lol!  crazy women!

Week Recap!

Monday-spent time with Alan...
Tuesday-Alan left for Alabama for work and I went home to spend the night...
Wednesday we headed out for Pigeon Forge.  We stopped on the way to see the baby.  He was up to 4lbs and 1 oz and looks so different.  He no longer has the "preemie look" and they let him breast feed for the 1st time while I was there.  I'm so glad he's doing well and he's SOOOOO precious!  I can't wait for him to come home!

Anyhow, after that we went straight to Dollywood.  Initially, I was afraid Logan wasn't going to have any fun.  He is still too short to ride the bigger rides...he needs to grow a few more inches, but he ended up having a great time.  I took him on Daredevil Falls and he LOVED it.  We rode it about 5 times and the 2nd time I bet him $5 that he couldn't hold his hands up during the drop......sure enough, HE DID!  So he won $5!  After the last time we rode it he was standing on the bridge waiting to get wet and he lost his shoe in the water below, so he had to walk out of the park with just socks on, pretty funny!

This is him holding his hands up!

After we left, we went to our hotel and checked in, walked to Applebee's, ate dinner, and then came back to the hotel so he could swim.  They had an indoor pool with 2 water slides and he loved it!

Thursday-we got up and went back to Dollywood.  We rode more rides this day and he loved everything and wasn't scared of anything!  It was a little more crowded but we still had a great time!  We rode Blazin' Fury and he wanted to sit in the very front all by himself...such a big boy!  I think his favorite ride was the side winder!  We left Dollywood about 3 and went back to the room so he could do a little swimming!  He played in the outdoor pool and the indoor pool and then he wanted to go to the Disney store.  We did that, he got a huge set of Cars Tall Tales Cars with some of his birthday money.  We did a little more shopping, ate dinner at TGI Fridays (had a brownie obsessions...the best dessert ever) and then went back to the hotel.  Logan swam until 11 pm when the pool closed.  When we got back to the room we raced motorcycles, listened to the ipod, ate popcorn and just played until 1 am.

Friday, Krystal came to the hotel to visit and then we all went to the Apple Barn to have breakfast.  I ate there the last time I was in Pigeon Forge and it was delish...they have the best fried chicken biscuits!  It was so nice to see Krystal and catch up with her.  I hate that she's moved so far away!  After breakfast we went to the Titanic.  It wasn't what I expected and I probably won't go back.  It was a lot of reading and Logan just wasn't into it!  After we left there we headed home!  Once we got back to the house we did the Dr. Pepper/Minto's trick.  Logan had been wanting to do it for a while.  Although it was neat, it wasn't near as big as I expected.  Logan ended up coming back with me and spend the night.  We made new "clothes" for Fluffy, his stuffed animal he got at Dollywood!

Today, we played the wii, rode the 4 wheeler down to the creek, played in the creek, and then helped Josh with his 4 wheelers.  We just rented Tangled and MegaMind so Logan has made a pallet in the floor and we are watching Tangled.  It's been a great 10 days off work.

I go back to work tomorrow and work Sunday-Wednesday!

Alan will finally be home on Thursday evening and I am so excited (he's been gone since Tuesday)
Friday I have engagement pictures with Weaver and Heather and I am so excited!!!
Saturday is Sugarland in Nashville and we are celebrating Thad's birthday...should be a GREAT weekend!

Week Recap...

Work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Sleep Thursday.
Friday, Brit and I went to Knoxville to do a little shopping and visit baby brother.

I got to hold him for the 1st time and he's so TINY!  He weighs 3 lbs, 7 oz but is doing great!  He is on room air (no oxygen) and doesn't have any IV's or a PICC line...He is being fed through a NG tube in his nose which is why it looks like he has a mustache.  He is so precious !  I bought his his 1st Harley shirt but the only size they had was 3-6 months, so it'll be a while before he will be able to wear it.  After we left the hospital we went out to eat with Daddy and Paula and then went shopping.

Later that evening we went to Woolys for a few drinks.  Brit, Thad, Jo, and Jo's new boy Noah were all there, too!  We stayed there for a bit and then all went to the house to play the Kinect and Just Dance on the Wii.  It was so much fun!  We didn't get in the bed until 4ish and Brit and Thad stayed the night...

Saturday we hung out at the house, went to the funeral home, and then decided to cook out.  Jamie, Josh, Brit, Jo, Noah, and Thad came over and then we decided to ride 4 wheelers down to the creek and built a bonfire...It was too much fun!  Once again, we didn't get in bed until 4ish.
The start of our campfire...

We've been back on the 4 wheelers today and rode down on the creek...the weather has been so nice and I've had such a great weekend.  I'm so thankful for all of my friends and I'm so glad we can just chill at home and still have a good time...

Miranda!!!

Last Friday Brit and I went to see Miranda Lambert in Knoxville at the Civic Center!  It was AMAZING.....and I had the best time!  We drove up separately because I had spent the night at the house with Logan the night before.  She was coming to Knoxville ready so I got to the hotel, got ready, she got there, and then we both had a drink.  We called a cab to come and get us and they took us downtown and we ended up in some random "up-ity" bar and had a couple of drinks...

After that Coach Stephens came and got us and took us to the Civic Center.  It was so good to see him and his kiddo's and we were so thankful that he saved us from walking in the rain...

Josh Kelly and Justin Moore played before Miranda and they did great!  I am now in love with both of them!  Anyhow, Brit and I both had about four-ish drinks during the show and we sang our little hearts out!  I really don't know what else to say about the concert other than what I've already said...it was AUH-MAZIN!  Miranda is a great entertainer and puts on a wonderful show!

After the concert we went to Tin Roof hoping that there would be a great band there but...the band was HORRIBLE.  So, we went to Mellow Mushroom, ate some pizza, and called it a night!  It was such a great time!!!

Makes me SUPER EXCITED...about seeing SUGARLAND in a few weeks!!!

Here are some pictures...
