Recap

I'm trying really hard to keep up with blogging, but I stay so, so busy...

Here's a recap of the past 10 or so days....

Last Friday, the 11th, was Logan's birthday and he had a little party at school.  Mom and I went to it and brought chips and cupcakes.  It was fun and I always love going up to his school and seeing how he interacts with the other kids.  He got a trampoline for his birthday and Nicole and Michael put that together for him while he was at school.  After school, he came home and played on it for a while and then I took him to take some pictures at daddys barn.  Daddy and Paula were there so I talked to them for a bit too!  I spent the night Friday and got up pretty early and headed back to Baxter.

Saturday I went shopping and then went to see Alan.  He had to work the weekend so I spent the night with him at his hotel.  We went out to eat and just spent time together at the hotel.  On Sunday, I came home, showered and then met some girls from work to take a quick little trip to Pigeon Forge.  We had an awesome cabin.  The 1st night we stayed in and watched a movie.  On Monday, we got up went to the Apple Barn to eat (which was AMAZING) and then went shopping.  I didn't really find anything. :(  After shopping we went to get a pedicure and then one of the girls made us supper and then we watched a movie.  It was a nice relaxing time and I'm so glad I was able to go.  I love those girls to death and I'm so lucky to have such great coworkers.

Came home Tuesday and worked Tuesday and Wednesday.  I was supposed to work Thursday but Daddy called and told me about little man, I was worried so I called in and went to see him.

On Friday, I met Kelsie and we got a pedicure and done a little shopping.  I picked up some fabric to make little man a quilt so I came home and worked on that and then me and Alan went out to eat.

Saturday was Logan's party so I went home for that, came back home and met up with Kels, Lewey, Brit, Thad, Brandon M., and some other people to go bowling.  After that we went to Wooly's and Ihop.  It was a fun/much needed night!

Logan's 1st Concert

On Friday, Febrauary 25 I took Logan to his 1st concert....he loved it and I'm so happy I got to expierence his 1st concert with him.

I took him to see Jason Aldean in Knoxville at Thompson Bowling Arena.  Ever since Jason Aldean released Big Green Tractor, Logan has LOVED the song...of course, at the time the song came out he loved anything and everything that had anything to do with tractors.  Anywho, he loves the song, like knows every work of it and has for a long time.  He even sang karaoke to it at Kelsie and Lewey's wedding back in November of 2010.  I had always said if Jason Aldean came to Knoxville I would take him, so I bought us tickets as soon as I found out he would be there.

Logan wasn't really sure if he wanted to go or not.  Mom had told him a while back that concerts were boring and so he was on the fence and honestly, I wasn't going to push him to go, because we weren't that impressed with the concert when we saw it in Chattanooga.  Anyway, he decided the week of the concert that he wanted to go and by Friday he was really excited.  I met mom in Monterey to pick him up around 1 pm, took him to get his hair cut, and then went to Brandon and Blake's to meet them!  So....it was me, Logan, Alan, Brandon, Blake, and Joanna......crazy crew!  Logan loves being around everyone so he was already having a blast.

We stopped at Smoky Mountain Brewery to eat in Turkey Creek before the concert.  We missed the Jane Deer Girls, which I'm was NOT upset about.  Eric Church came out right as we were getting to our seats.  Most of the time Logan was looking pretty bored during Eric Church so I was a little worried that he was going to be bored during the whole show.  When he sang Love Your Love the Most, (mustuard on my fries is what Logan calls it) Logan stood up in his chair and sang.  Then when he sang these boots we convinced him to take his boot off and hold it up in the air.  All the ladies around us got a kick out of him all night long!  The whole time Eric was playing he kept asking when Jason Aldean was going to sing.

Once Eric went off stage and they turned the lights on, he just kept asking when Jason Aldean was gonna come on stage!  Then the next questions he asked a million times was....what I thought his 1st song was gonna be?  Honestly, I can't remember the 1st song, but I do remember that he knew the words to almost every song and he had the biggest smile on his face.  He would sit down after each song thinking that he wouldn't know the next song and that he wouldn't wanna stand up to sing it and almost everytime he was up singing.  I do know that he was on cloud 9 when Big Green Tractor came on!  He stood up, was dancing, playing the air guitar, and singing EVERY word!  I LOVED it!  He had worn a cowboy hat and had taken it off.  For whatever reason, when Big Greeen Tractor came on, he immedietly said I need my cowboy hat....it was so cute!  Anyhow, Big Green Tractor, Crazytown, and Hicktown were the 3 songs he really loves and wanted to hear.  He sang Big Green Tractor and Crazytown and then went off stage.  Logan sat down in his seat, put his cowboy hat in his lap and fell asleep.  I knew he'd come back on stage and he did.  Hicktown was his last song and I woke Logan up a couple of times to see if he wanted to wake up to hear it, but he just pushed me off....it was 11:30 at this point so the boy was TIRED!  I stood up to sing along and watch, turned around to talk to Alan and then I felt a little tug on my arm.  Logan had woke up, was back standing up in his chair and singing along!  It was a great night!

He is already asking when the next concert is and when we can go back to another one!  I am so excited, I think he's gonna love live music as much as I do.  I can't wait to take him to another one!

He fell asleep as soon as we got into the car.  He spent the night with us and Saturday we got up, did a little shopping, went to the park, came home and painted wooden dinausours, went to eat chinease, and then went to see Gnomeo and Juliet in 3D.  It was such a cute movie and actually held Logan's attention the whole time, which is hard to do.  Plus, Alan even said it was good!  After the movie, we went by Wal-Mart to get some things and ended up buying a Kinect for the xbox.  We spent the rest of the evening playing it!

Such a great weekend.  I love that little guy to death!

New Baby Brother!!!

I have a new baby brother......

My dad called on Thursday to tell me.
He was born at 27 weeks gestation and only weighed 3lbs, 4oz but is doing good right now.  He has been breathing on his own, peeing, and pooping which I know a lot of preemies have trouble with.

I immediately hopped in my car and drove to the hospital where he was at to see him after I got off the phone with my dad.  He is so TINY.  Of course, he had lost about 5 oz from birth when I saw him and they weren't feeding him at that time, but his nurse was really sweet, answered my 1,000,000 questions, and said he's doing great!

I'm so excited but yet so worried about the little guy...

Logan's 6th Birthday

Mom had Logan's 6th birthday party yesterday.  It was a huge success and I think he had tons of fun.  In the past we have just invited family to his parties.  This year mom actually invited a couple of kids from his class, some from his basketball team, and some other, plus the kids in our family.  They rented a huge bounce house that had an obstacle course and a slide.  The kids really enjoyed that, Nicole and I did, too!

He was running around playing the whole time and I actually think he had forgotten that it was his birthday and he had presents, cake, and ice cream!  He got the secret agent spy watch he had been wanting, some matchbox cars, clothes, money, and lots more!  We asked him what his favorite part was and he said the bounce house.

His friend Olivia stayed later and played.  I think he really enjoyed that.  He had gotten a voice changer/disguiser at the party and so we let them prank call a couple of people.  That was pretty funny!  Overall, it was a great time!
