Presidents Day 2013

Today I took Logan to the art mill to paint. He painted a Lego ninjago, his favorite. Nicole, Hunter and I walked around town and did some shopping while he was painting. After that, we went to the park to ride his bike but it was soo windy! So we did a little shopping and had lunch with Alan before heading home.

I let hunter take a late/long nap...from 530 to 800, so he's wide awake and I'm prepared for a long night.

Recap!

Thursday after I got off of work, I went to the house and napped for a bit before Nicole, Logan, Brit, Tess, and Amber came up and we went to the lake.  Brandon and Alan met us down there!  We spent most of our time pulling Logan on the tube!  Tubing is his favorite!  It was nice to spend time with them!  Tess and Amber left pretty early.  That evening the boys went to town to get us pizza for dinner!  Nicole and Logan spent the night with us!

The weather was crappy on Friday so we ran do town Friday morning to get some things done and take Logan to get his hair cut!  Nicole decided to go home early because she wasn't feeling well!  Logan rode to town with Alan to buy his jeep and I took a nap!  I really don't remember what we did the rest of the day, but I do know that we took the jeep down to the creek that night and Josh and Brandon spent the night!

Saturday morning, we went to town to get stuff to do arts and craft.  We made play dough, bouncy balls (which was a fail), a painting, and a knit ball!  Logan loves to do stuff like that!  The boys spent the evening outside shooting bows and I actually cooked dinner!  After that, Logan, Alan, Brandon, Josh, and me went riding back roads in the jeep!  Nicole and Michael got there late that night!  We had a house full, JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT!

Time to go riding...

Sunday, the boys got up and went to play golf.  Nicole, Logan, and I stayed at the house.  We rented Soul Surfer another movie on lifetime!  It was nice to get to spend time with the two of them, but I wish the weather would have been better because I felt like I did nothing all weekend!

Monday, I went to lay out with Jo at her house for a bit and then went to the house to spend some time with Logan.  We played in the pool, then I met Tess at the walking track and ran, then ran to Nicole's to see the baby!  He's up to 16 lbs and the prettiest little boy ever!  Tuesday morning I took Logan to his 1st day of 1st grade : (

I can't believe how fast he is growing up!  It makes me so sad.  I have mentioned before that he loves music, just like I do.  So I usually let him pick the songs of pick songs that I know he likes when we are in the car together.  That morning he requested Jason Aldean's Hicktown and Alan Jackson's Don't Rock the Jukebox....he's got pretty good taste!  We also listened to Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams and Country Boy by Alan Jackson because he also loves both of those!  After I dropped him off I went straight home and Brit and Jo came over!  We had a wine/craft day!  It was lots of fun.  Wednesday we went shopping!  I bought....
and lots more!  Although, the sunglasses Alan is paying me back for as part of my birthday present.  I also bought a Tennessee sweatshirt at VS, a new shirt at express, a new fedora hat, and some other goodies.  We also went to

except it was the Nashville store, where I spent too much money!

Back to work Thur-Saturday!

But I'm really hopping the weather will be nice Sunday, because I am dying for a day on the lake

Birthday Weekend!

I turned 25 this weekend, sad I know.

Good news is I had a great weekend.  I slept 3 hours after I got off of work Friday morning, then Margaux, Brittany, and Brandon came over and we went to the lake.  No one was out so we had great water.  Margaux learned to ride and is probably addicted to wakeboarding just like the rest of us!  We had a great time relaxing!  That evening we cooked out.  The 5 of us were there, plus Thad, Blake, Catie-from work, Jo, Noah, Josh, and Jake.  Alan and Brandon cooked and it was delish!  They also made me a cake and managed to get all 25 candles lit, it was cute!  They ended up playing wiffle ball for quite a while, I was running on very little sleep, so I just watched.  It was pretty entertaining.  I think everyone left around 1 am and then I got in the bed.

Blowing out candles on my cake Alan and Brandon made!

I had wanted to leave early for the lake Saturday morning, but decided to sleep in instead!  Brit and Thad met us later on at Huddle House, we ate and then went back to the house for a bit to watch a movie.  I'm not sure what the movie was, I was working on Maddy's picutres the whole time.

After it went off, we went to the lake.  We had pretty good water since it was later in the evening.  I finally figured out how to switch!  We stayed till around 8pm.  My favorite time to be on the lake is late in the evening when everyone else is gone!  We had planned on going out to dinner, but I really just wanted to hang out at home with Alan, so that's what we did.  We tried to watch "Unknown" but both fell asleep.

Sunday morning, Nicole, Michael, and Logan came up.  We had breakfast and then went back to the lake for a bit.  We did the usual.  Nicole, Michael, and Logan all tried to wakeboard.  I'm really hoping Logan gets it figured out soon because I know he will love it.  I ended up clearing the wake and actually landing at 70 foot so I was super excited about that...Happy Birthday to me!  Logan tubed for quite a while, that's his favorite thing and this year he is much braver than he was last year!  We ran into a guy Alan used to work with a talked to them for a while.  After the lake, the boys went to play golf and Nicole and I played a couple of games of Monopoly, the Cars 2 version, with Logan and then we all napped.

Later, Logan, Alan, and I went to Chili's to eat for my birthday!  After that we took him over to Josh and Jake's to see Jake's snake.  He was scared of it at first, but ended up holding it and now he says he wants a pet snake.  I told him, that's one thing he probably won't be able to talk his parent's into!

We spent this morning relaxing and then went to town to do some shopping for school clothes!  This is the 1st year I've actually let him pick out some of his own clothing.  He could care less about jeans but he did pick out his shirts.  We also got Nicole a Brighton charm bracelet for her birthday.  I let him pick out which bracelet to get for her and he also picked her out a charm.
I'm not sure why he picked a frog, but that's what he wanted, so I let him get it.  Some of his other choices were a mouse, an airplane, and a fish!  We also got her an "S" for Sissy and because her last name will start with a "S" after she gets married and I got her one that says sister!  We are going to give it to her tomorrow!

2 weekends...

The weekend before last, I napped for a couple of hours after I got off of work, then went to meet Kelsie at

for lunch.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Red Lobster and eat there every chance I get.  The best part...I had a gift card that one of my patients had given me.  I love how she and I can go weeks or even months without talking and pick right back up where we left off.  After lunch, we did a little shopping for fabric and then we met Margaux to get a pedicure!

Later on that night Alan and I went to...

to have dinner.  BBQ is one of my favorite foods and they never disappoint.  After dinner we met Brandon, Margaux, and Catie at the movies to see...

It was so funny and I can't wait to watch it again.  After the movies we went to Wooly Bullys.  I hadn't been in there in several months but the crowd has changed....and not for the better!  We had a good time anyway.

Saturday, Brit and I went to the house and laid out in the pool for a bit and spent some time with the family.  Nicole, Tess, Granny, and Joann all came over.  I brought Logan back with me and we took him to the Drag-strip to see...

It is supposed to be the fastest truck in the world and has reached speeds up to 400 mph.  Obviously it didn't get this fast that night.  But he LOVED it.  I think his favorite part was the flames that shoot out of the top and back of it.  Wayne, Brit, Thad, and Josh were also there.  He loves those boys...and Brit too!

Sunday, the boys went to work on a food plot for hunting while I slept!  Later Nicole and Michael came up and the boys went to play golf.  Nicole, Logan, and I ran to town to do a little shopping and we stopped and looked at a few wedding dresses....none of which was she impressed with.  After the boys got home we all cooked out and they headed home with Logan!

Monday, Brit and I went to Denny Bottom to lay out in the sun.  It was nice just to chill out for a while!

I worked Tuesday night and then I went home to be with my Granny because her brother passed away.  While I was home, I also got to spend time with Logan and take him to school and pick him up.  The funeral was Thursday night and after it Tess and I went out to eat.  Friday, Nicole and I picked Logan up early and headed to Gray, TN to see...

That would be Justin Moore.  This is the 3rd time I've seen him and I love him more every time.  He always puts on a good show.  Logan ended up setting with Blake for part of the show, but I think he enjoyed it.  He loves Small Town USA and If Heaven Wasn't so Far Away.  Logan got to ride a few rides before the concert and we all rode one together.  We had a 3 hour drive home and got stuck in traffic, so it made for a long night, but it was worth it.

Saturday, I spent a couple of hours in the pool with Logan.  Then Jamie and Tennille brought Maddy over.  I finally got them her 1 year pictures and then I headed back home.  That night JD had his annual B-Day party. The party wasn't super great, but later on we all took the jeeps down to the creek.  I drank lots of wine and had a good time!

Sunday, I spend the day hanging out with the boys-checking out deer cams and shooting bows!

Back to work Monday-Wednesday and then off to Mexico!!!

Weekend Recap....again!

Work Tue-Thur.

Friday morning when I got off of work, I met Kelsie @ Cracker Barrel for breakfast!  It's so hard for us to get together lately so I was glad I got to see her and catch up!

After that, I went home and napped until noon.  Then Margaux, Alan, Brandon, and I went to the lake.  We spent the evening relaxing in the water and wakeboarding.  Later on we ran into one of Alan's friends and anchored our boat and got on his.  We rode behind his boat for a while and then went to Hurricane Marina to eat with everyone.  It was interesting!
After dinner, we walked around the dock and looked at house boats.  I've always said I hated them and would never want one but I have completely changed my mind.  I am in love!  I think it would be wonderful, to head to the lake every weekend, tie the boat up and go out on the water whenever!  Maybe one day...

Saturday, I literally slept until 2 pm.  I was so worn out from working all night Thursday and not getting much sleep on Friday!  It was nice, but I definitely felt lazy!  Around 3 that afternoon, we headed back to the lake.  I have decided that's the best time to go.  By the time we get there and get in the water, most people are leaving and we have plenty of time and good water!  Anyhow, it was me and 5 boys...Josh, Alan, Brandon, Jake, and Brandon.  We had a good time!  I always get cracked up listening to those boys talk!  I have definitely learned a lot on the lake with them!

Josh Plankin???

Sunday, we had a cookout at my parents since the pool is finally finished!  It's so nice and I can't wait for some days off so I can go lay out!  We had a great time, everyone was there!  Even Tessa came and everyone actually got in and swam!  Sometimes, I really miss everyone being at the house and hate the fact that we are all getting old!  Although, I can't wait until we all have kids and then we have cookouts and holidays there!  It will be amazing!

I was quite surprised at how well Logan is swimming!  He is for sure all boy and he's growing up so fast.  It really makes me sad, but at the same time, I'm excited to see the person he is going to be!  He has his 1st day of 1st grade on Thursday : (.  Nicole is going to pick him up and then they are coming to stay a couple of days with us!  I am so excited!  I haven't spent quality time with he r in forever!  I'm hoping to talk her into going wedding dress shopping on Saturday!

I can't wait!

Quality Time with my Favorite Boy!

Sunday evening, Alan and I met Mom to get Logan.  We hadn't eaten dinner yet so the three of us went to Red Lobster!  The hostess was wonderful and took one of the Lobsters out of the tank and explained a lot of stuff about lobsters to Logan...apparetnly she was a biology major.  Monday, we relaxed around the house for a bit and then went riding around and looking at houses.  Alan and I found a house that we fell IN LOVE with, but I don't think we will be buying one any time soon!  Insert sad face!  That evening, we rode the 4-wheeler to the creek and then went over to JD's to let him see the beagle puppies.  Logan fell head over heels in love with them and wanted one so bad!
Logan and Alan at the creek

Tuesday, we met Brit and Tanner and went too...

We had a great time and I'm pretty sure the boys did, too!  Logan still isn't tall enough to ride the roller coasters, but he really wants to.  Maybe by the end of the year.....he's got 2 more inches!  He still had his cast on and it got soaking wet, he freaked out and thought that his doctor was going to get mad at him...lol!  I assured him it would be okay, but he was so worried about it!

Wednesday, we went to the doctor to get his cast removed.  They xrayed his arm and said everything looked great and he didn't have any limitations.  He has a pretty large knot on his arm, but the doc said that would go away in 3 months.  He also, can't straighten his arm out but the doc said that would take some time, too!  What better way to celebrate getting your cast off than to go to The Wilderness.

It's actually called Wilderness at the Smokies, but for whatever reason we call it The Wilderness.  It is a hotel with both an indoor and outdoor waterpark!  I took Logan last year before he started school and he loved it!  I also invited his friends Tyler and Olivia and Nicole brought them down after she got off work.  He and I got there, checked in, and immedietly headed to the indoor part (it was storming outside.)

We rode the Storm Chaser 1st thing.  Technically Logan is too short for it but he has ridden it before and he LOVES it!  So we got up there, the girl didn't even measure him and on the ride we went!  We immediatly got off of it and went straight back up to the top and they wouldn't let him back on.  Talk about one mad sister!  He wasn't too disappointed though.  We played for a while and then went back to the room to make a run to Wal-Mart.  Once Nicole and the other kiddos got there, we ordered pizza, ate and then let them play until 10pm when the indoor part closed!  The next day Krystal came over and spent the day with us!  That turned out to be such a great help because all 3 kids wanted to go in different directions!  Overall, the kids had a great time and I'm glad I got to take Logan!  I spent the night at the house Thursday and then headed home Friday to get ready for work.

I worked Friday-Monday!  I was off Tuesday night, so I spent most of the day sleeping, got up went to the movies, met Brook at we watched....

It was hilarious and I can't wait to watch it again!  That night, I went to Wal-Mart and got...

in this particular color, I need some more practice but they look pretty good!

Love Maci!

Mayfield Chocolate Almond Ice Cream

Love this guy and this CD is wonderful!

So, I spent my night relaxing and watching things that I had recorded with DVR (one of the best inventions ever.)  It was wonderful!!!

Quality time with Logan!

Last Wednesday, I went home to go to Logan's Dr. App. with him!  They took his cast off, took the pin out and re-casted it!  I spend the night with him at the house and then Friday morning we came back to my house.  He played the xbox while I cleaned up the house from the crazy weekend before!  Later on, we went to see Brandon!  He loves James B and Blake!  They played a little corn hole and pool and then he and I ordered some pizza!  That night we went to see

in 3D!

Honestly, I didn't pay much attention to the movie, but Logan seemed to like it!  He always wants to watch movies in 3D, but he never will wear the glasses, so no more 3D movies for us!
I'm not sure if the movie influenced his actions afterwords, but here are some pictures of him dancing after the movie....

WILD CHILD!

After the movie, we went to a game store to get him a new game.  He got his 1st XBOX game...

Saturday morning, we got up and went to Lebanon.  I needed to go to Pac Sun and Brandon wanted to go, so we made a trip and then Mom came and got Logan so I could get a nap before I went back to work Saturday night!

I can't wait until he gets his cast off so I can take him swimming and to the lake!
