1st Birthday Inspiration.

I'm in full party planning mode.  I can't believe that Hunter will be 1 year old in less than a month.  It blows my mind.

I wanted to share some of my inspiration photos...

I have a thing for aqua and orange.  Hunter's room is decorated with those colors.  I'm not really a theme person, so we don't have one...ha!  I designed his invitations today and I think they turned out pretty good...especially considering I had never designed anything like that before.

Birthday Weekend!

I turned 25 this weekend, sad I know.

Good news is I had a great weekend.  I slept 3 hours after I got off of work Friday morning, then Margaux, Brittany, and Brandon came over and we went to the lake.  No one was out so we had great water.  Margaux learned to ride and is probably addicted to wakeboarding just like the rest of us!  We had a great time relaxing!  That evening we cooked out.  The 5 of us were there, plus Thad, Blake, Catie-from work, Jo, Noah, Josh, and Jake.  Alan and Brandon cooked and it was delish!  They also made me a cake and managed to get all 25 candles lit, it was cute!  They ended up playing wiffle ball for quite a while, I was running on very little sleep, so I just watched.  It was pretty entertaining.  I think everyone left around 1 am and then I got in the bed.

Blowing out candles on my cake Alan and Brandon made!

I had wanted to leave early for the lake Saturday morning, but decided to sleep in instead!  Brit and Thad met us later on at Huddle House, we ate and then went back to the house for a bit to watch a movie.  I'm not sure what the movie was, I was working on Maddy's picutres the whole time.

After it went off, we went to the lake.  We had pretty good water since it was later in the evening.  I finally figured out how to switch!  We stayed till around 8pm.  My favorite time to be on the lake is late in the evening when everyone else is gone!  We had planned on going out to dinner, but I really just wanted to hang out at home with Alan, so that's what we did.  We tried to watch "Unknown" but both fell asleep.

Sunday morning, Nicole, Michael, and Logan came up.  We had breakfast and then went back to the lake for a bit.  We did the usual.  Nicole, Michael, and Logan all tried to wakeboard.  I'm really hoping Logan gets it figured out soon because I know he will love it.  I ended up clearing the wake and actually landing at 70 foot so I was super excited about that...Happy Birthday to me!  Logan tubed for quite a while, that's his favorite thing and this year he is much braver than he was last year!  We ran into a guy Alan used to work with a talked to them for a while.  After the lake, the boys went to play golf and Nicole and I played a couple of games of Monopoly, the Cars 2 version, with Logan and then we all napped.

Later, Logan, Alan, and I went to Chili's to eat for my birthday!  After that we took him over to Josh and Jake's to see Jake's snake.  He was scared of it at first, but ended up holding it and now he says he wants a pet snake.  I told him, that's one thing he probably won't be able to talk his parent's into!

We spent this morning relaxing and then went to town to do some shopping for school clothes!  This is the 1st year I've actually let him pick out some of his own clothing.  He could care less about jeans but he did pick out his shirts.  We also got Nicole a Brighton charm bracelet for her birthday.  I let him pick out which bracelet to get for her and he also picked her out a charm.
I'm not sure why he picked a frog, but that's what he wanted, so I let him get it.  Some of his other choices were a mouse, an airplane, and a fish!  We also got her an "S" for Sissy and because her last name will start with a "S" after she gets married and I got her one that says sister!  We are going to give it to her tomorrow!

Recap

I'm trying really hard to keep up with blogging, but I stay so, so busy...

Here's a recap of the past 10 or so days....

Last Friday, the 11th, was Logan's birthday and he had a little party at school.  Mom and I went to it and brought chips and cupcakes.  It was fun and I always love going up to his school and seeing how he interacts with the other kids.  He got a trampoline for his birthday and Nicole and Michael put that together for him while he was at school.  After school, he came home and played on it for a while and then I took him to take some pictures at daddys barn.  Daddy and Paula were there so I talked to them for a bit too!  I spent the night Friday and got up pretty early and headed back to Baxter.

Saturday I went shopping and then went to see Alan.  He had to work the weekend so I spent the night with him at his hotel.  We went out to eat and just spent time together at the hotel.  On Sunday, I came home, showered and then met some girls from work to take a quick little trip to Pigeon Forge.  We had an awesome cabin.  The 1st night we stayed in and watched a movie.  On Monday, we got up went to the Apple Barn to eat (which was AMAZING) and then went shopping.  I didn't really find anything. :(  After shopping we went to get a pedicure and then one of the girls made us supper and then we watched a movie.  It was a nice relaxing time and I'm so glad I was able to go.  I love those girls to death and I'm so lucky to have such great coworkers.

Came home Tuesday and worked Tuesday and Wednesday.  I was supposed to work Thursday but Daddy called and told me about little man, I was worried so I called in and went to see him.

On Friday, I met Kelsie and we got a pedicure and done a little shopping.  I picked up some fabric to make little man a quilt so I came home and worked on that and then me and Alan went out to eat.

Saturday was Logan's party so I went home for that, came back home and met up with Kels, Lewey, Brit, Thad, Brandon M., and some other people to go bowling.  After that we went to Wooly's and Ihop.  It was a fun/much needed night!

Logan's 6th Birthday

Mom had Logan's 6th birthday party yesterday.  It was a huge success and I think he had tons of fun.  In the past we have just invited family to his parties.  This year mom actually invited a couple of kids from his class, some from his basketball team, and some other, plus the kids in our family.  They rented a huge bounce house that had an obstacle course and a slide.  The kids really enjoyed that, Nicole and I did, too!

He was running around playing the whole time and I actually think he had forgotten that it was his birthday and he had presents, cake, and ice cream!  He got the secret agent spy watch he had been wanting, some matchbox cars, clothes, money, and lots more!  We asked him what his favorite part was and he said the bounce house.

His friend Olivia stayed later and played.  I think he really enjoyed that.  He had gotten a voice changer/disguiser at the party and so we let them prank call a couple of people.  That was pretty funny!  Overall, it was a great time!

Mond-Wedn-work!

Thursday-sleep

Friday-I went home to go to Logan's Valentines Party at school.  I got to Morgan County a little early so I went to see Granny!  I have the absolute best Granny in the world...I don't know what I would do without her and I enjoy getting to spend time with her.  Logan's party was cute!  Mom and I walked in and he looked surprised and said, "I didn't know ya'll were coming."  I think he was a little excited.  They played musical chairs, handed out their Valentines cards, and then had snacks!  After school we went to the house and started looking at stuff for Disney.  I was going to take him to Disney on Spring Break but Mom has convinced me not to.  It will be one of the most crowded times of the year and he's still a few inches short of being able to ride some of the rides.  So, we may just do something else!  That evening we played some Wii and just hung out.  I fell asleep early (I'm still having trouble switching around on my days off.)  Saturday we got up and Mom cooked breakfast.  Monday/Valentines day is mom's birthday.  I had gotten her a card and gave her some money and I had Logan sign the card and take it to her.  While he was doing that I got his card/candy ready for him and gave it to him when he came back.  He was appreciative of the $20 I put in it........however, mom never said anything about her card and she always says thanks.  So, I asked her if she got her card and she said "no."  Long story short, Logan wanted to keep the $ that was in her card.  Mom and I both had very long talks with him about being appreciative and thankful and being happy for other people when they get nice things.  It hard to explain to a 5 year old.

Anyhow, on the way to Logan's game I went up to Granny's and took her a card and some candy for Valentines day.  Logan's game was in Norwood so I went to it.  He got a little more aggressive this game and I think he's starting to get into it more.  We found out he had another game later in the evening so I decided to hang around for it.  We went to eat at some place Richard likes in between.  It was called Double Dog's or something like that.  Food was good and they served Logan's food in a dog bowl.  He loved that!  Logan did pretty good his 2nd game too!  So proud of him!  I love that little turd.....I went straight home after his game.  I got there and Brandon and Christi were there.  They hung out a while and after they left I went to sleep.

We had decided earlier in the week that we were gonna celebrate Valentines Day on Sunday.  Sunday we got up and I was craving some blue cheese dressing from Nick's.  After I got ready, I came out and Alan had my Valentines present on the kitchen counter.  He got me a dozen red roses, a sander that I had asked for, a card, candy, and a..........PEARL ring.  I hadn't ever asked or even mentioned a pearl ring but he said he knew I love my pearl earrings, necklace, and bracelet and let me just say........I LOVE THE RING.  It's pretty and simple and completely me!  He did good!  I had given him his present early...a new pair of Rocky boots!  We went to lunch at Nick's and it was wonderful!  I had Cajun chicken Alfredo, salad, and a chocolate molten cake!  After lunch, we went to look at cars and then went home.  We were planning on riding the bike but I decided I was tired and I thought it would be to cold for me so I napped and Alan took a ride.  After he got back we went to his ma's to eat, Jamie came over for a bit, and after he left we went to town and The Social Network.  I wasn't very impressed!

It was the perfect Valentines Weekend.  I spent time with most of the wonderful people in my life...my mom, Logan, Granny, and Alan!  I couldn't have asked for anything better!  And I also squeezed in a little bit of time with Miss Maddy....she's presh!
