Week Recap!

Monday-spent time with Alan...
Tuesday-Alan left for Alabama for work and I went home to spend the night...
Wednesday we headed out for Pigeon Forge.  We stopped on the way to see the baby.  He was up to 4lbs and 1 oz and looks so different.  He no longer has the "preemie look" and they let him breast feed for the 1st time while I was there.  I'm so glad he's doing well and he's SOOOOO precious!  I can't wait for him to come home!

Anyhow, after that we went straight to Dollywood.  Initially, I was afraid Logan wasn't going to have any fun.  He is still too short to ride the bigger rides...he needs to grow a few more inches, but he ended up having a great time.  I took him on Daredevil Falls and he LOVED it.  We rode it about 5 times and the 2nd time I bet him $5 that he couldn't hold his hands up during the drop......sure enough, HE DID!  So he won $5!  After the last time we rode it he was standing on the bridge waiting to get wet and he lost his shoe in the water below, so he had to walk out of the park with just socks on, pretty funny!

This is him holding his hands up!

After we left, we went to our hotel and checked in, walked to Applebee's, ate dinner, and then came back to the hotel so he could swim.  They had an indoor pool with 2 water slides and he loved it!

Thursday-we got up and went back to Dollywood.  We rode more rides this day and he loved everything and wasn't scared of anything!  It was a little more crowded but we still had a great time!  We rode Blazin' Fury and he wanted to sit in the very front all by himself...such a big boy!  I think his favorite ride was the side winder!  We left Dollywood about 3 and went back to the room so he could do a little swimming!  He played in the outdoor pool and the indoor pool and then he wanted to go to the Disney store.  We did that, he got a huge set of Cars Tall Tales Cars with some of his birthday money.  We did a little more shopping, ate dinner at TGI Fridays (had a brownie obsessions...the best dessert ever) and then went back to the hotel.  Logan swam until 11 pm when the pool closed.  When we got back to the room we raced motorcycles, listened to the ipod, ate popcorn and just played until 1 am.

Friday, Krystal came to the hotel to visit and then we all went to the Apple Barn to have breakfast.  I ate there the last time I was in Pigeon Forge and it was delish...they have the best fried chicken biscuits!  It was so nice to see Krystal and catch up with her.  I hate that she's moved so far away!  After breakfast we went to the Titanic.  It wasn't what I expected and I probably won't go back.  It was a lot of reading and Logan just wasn't into it!  After we left there we headed home!  Once we got back to the house we did the Dr. Pepper/Minto's trick.  Logan had been wanting to do it for a while.  Although it was neat, it wasn't near as big as I expected.  Logan ended up coming back with me and spend the night.  We made new "clothes" for Fluffy, his stuffed animal he got at Dollywood!

Today, we played the wii, rode the 4 wheeler down to the creek, played in the creek, and then helped Josh with his 4 wheelers.  We just rented Tangled and MegaMind so Logan has made a pallet in the floor and we are watching Tangled.  It's been a great 10 days off work.

I go back to work tomorrow and work Sunday-Wednesday!

Alan will finally be home on Thursday evening and I am so excited (he's been gone since Tuesday)
Friday I have engagement pictures with Weaver and Heather and I am so excited!!!
Saturday is Sugarland in Nashville and we are celebrating Thad's birthday...should be a GREAT weekend!

Week Recap...

Work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Sleep Thursday.
Friday, Brit and I went to Knoxville to do a little shopping and visit baby brother.

I got to hold him for the 1st time and he's so TINY!  He weighs 3 lbs, 7 oz but is doing great!  He is on room air (no oxygen) and doesn't have any IV's or a PICC line...He is being fed through a NG tube in his nose which is why it looks like he has a mustache.  He is so precious !  I bought his his 1st Harley shirt but the only size they had was 3-6 months, so it'll be a while before he will be able to wear it.  After we left the hospital we went out to eat with Daddy and Paula and then went shopping.

Later that evening we went to Woolys for a few drinks.  Brit, Thad, Jo, and Jo's new boy Noah were all there, too!  We stayed there for a bit and then all went to the house to play the Kinect and Just Dance on the Wii.  It was so much fun!  We didn't get in the bed until 4ish and Brit and Thad stayed the night...

Saturday we hung out at the house, went to the funeral home, and then decided to cook out.  Jamie, Josh, Brit, Jo, Noah, and Thad came over and then we decided to ride 4 wheelers down to the creek and built a bonfire...It was too much fun!  Once again, we didn't get in bed until 4ish.
The start of our campfire...

We've been back on the 4 wheelers today and rode down on the creek...the weather has been so nice and I've had such a great weekend.  I'm so thankful for all of my friends and I'm so glad we can just chill at home and still have a good time...

Christmas

We had Christmas at the house on the 18th.  It was a lot of fun.  Logan had his 2nd basketball game that morning so Alan and I got up early to go to it.  He's still kinda clueless about what's going on at this point so it's really funny to watch him play.

Jamie, Tennille, and Maddy came over a little early so I could take Maddy's 6 month pictures.  I can't believe she is already 6 months old...here's a few of my favorites...

We had finger foods to eat and then opened gifts.  Logan was so excited.  He got some games for the Wii, clothes, a remote control car (that can go on snow, ice, water, land, etc.,) an iron man mask, some board games, and his big gift was a new basketball goal.  It was nice
to get to spend time with everyone.

I love my family and I love spending time with them.  Every time we have a family get together I always leave thinking the next one can't come soon enough.

Sunday-I really can't remember what we did or where we went.
Monday-we went to see GARTH BROOKS...I am going to do a  separate post on that.
Tuesday and Wednesday night I worked...
Thursday morning when I got off work me and Brittany went to Judy's and got a pedicure.  I was so nice/relaxing.  After that we went and got our lab results from the hospital for our wellness program.  Everything looked fine and I will just have to maintain everything for the next year.  I spent the rest of Thursday resting and getting things ready for the weekend.  Alan and I watched a movie that night and I actually stayed awake for all of it.
Friday around 3 we went to his Ma's to see her and Alan gave her her present.  She is going on a cruise and he got her a camera so she could take pictures.  I think she was pretty excited about it.  She said she hadn't had a camera since she was 16 years old.
After we left there we went to my Granny's to have game night.  This is the 1st year we have done this so everything didn't go as smooth as planned but we still had fun.  It was me, Alan, Ashley, Brad, Tess, and Ryan.  We played minute to win it, mad gab, and imagine if.  Granny even played a few games with us.  We stayed at her house until 10 pm and then went to Nicole and Michaels and then to John Thomas' for a while.  Alan and I spent the night with Nicole and Michael.
We got up around 8am on Christmas morning to get to the house before Logan woke up.  We knew he was getting a new 4 wheeler for Christmas so Nicole and I decided to do a  scavenger hunt for him.  Once he woke up we went downstairs and he started opening presents.  He didn't really have anything big under the tree b/c he had already gotten a basketball goal and he was getting a 4 wheeler.  He opened presents and then we gave him his stocking (which is where we put his 1st clue to his scavenger hunt.)  He went thru his stocking and never even noticed the envelope.  After we asked him what was in it he opened it and read it to us.  We had him looking all over the house (in shoes, the freezer, under his bed, on the back of his door, and in the Christmas tree.)  His last 2 clues where outside.  One was all the way at the mailbox and the other was on the tractor.
His new 4 wheeler was parked behind the building and he was so excited when he saw it.  He immediately wanted to ride it so they started it up and let him ride.  After a few minutes he was cold and we went inside to eat breakfast.
Logan had no clue but he was getting one other big thing for Christmas but it hadn't been delivered yet.  Jamie and Tennille had to bring it.  It was a mini RZR.  We took him outside to see it once Jamie brought it over.  I think he was kinda shocked and wasn't sure it was his at 1st because he was like...ok, can I ride my 4 wheeler?
Once we explained that it was his and that it was made little for him he was excited about it and had to take us all for a ride on it....

We spend some time with Jamie, Tennille, and Maddy and then it was time to go to Granny's for dinner.  We had our usual stuff and it was wonderful...like always.  I don't know what we'd do without Granny's dumplin's at Christmas!
Alan left Granny's before I did so he could go see his ma.  After I made it home we went down to his dad's to visit him.  They exchanged gifts and then we watched a movie with him.  By this time we were all worn out so we headed home.

On Sunday we bundled up and headed back to the house.  I had left all of my makeup at the house and it had snowed.  I wanted to take Logan sledding like we did last year.  So we made it up there, put on lots of clothes and then headed out sledding.  Richard rode his 4 wheeler and Nicole and Michael came on the RZR.  This was the 1st year we let Logan go down by himself and he loved it.  We didn't sled too long though because there was a lot of traffic.  Once we got to the house we warmed up by the fire and then Alan and I headed back home.

Alan and I didn't really exchange gifts this year.  I got him a new bow and he payed for part of my computer and got me some clothes/boots that I had picked out so we've both had our gifts for a few weeks now.  I really liked that we pretty much picked out what we wanted but I didn't like that we didn't really have a Christmas together (just the 2 of us) and there were no surprises for either of us.  I guess next year we will have to do a mixture of both...

And....my mom has all the pictures from Christmas so I will have to post them once I get them...
