The week before!

I went to the doctor on Monday May 7th for a normal checkup.  While I was there my doctor expressed some concern over my blood pressure and wanted me to do a 24 hour urine.  I knew she was going to be out of town the week that I was due so I asked her about induction.  I was fully expecting her to say no, so I had tried not to get my hopes up.  To my surprise, she said she would start my induction on Thursday evening!  I left there with mixed emotions...excited to know that I would be holding Hunter soon, but scared at the same time. Not really scared about the labor, but about being a mother.  Can I really take care of someone?

I called Alan to let him know, he was at  work and said he couldn't wipe the smile off of his face.  At the same time Kels was being admitted to the hospital so I went to see her and let her know the news.  She ended up getting discharged while I was there so we went to Cheddars to have some lunch before heading home!

On Tuesday Kelsie and I met up and got a prenatal massage!  This was the best idea ever.  I'm not sure why we hadn't done it before but we were both in heaven!  It was wonderful!  If I am ever preggo again, I will definitely be going more often.  After that we did some shopping and went to Chilis for dessert!  Wednesday we met up with Joanna and get mani/pedis and then I went to get a spray tan.  I'm so glad I got to pamper myself before because I know I probably won't get to for a while!   Wednesday evening Kels was scheduled to be induced so Alan and I went to the hospital to see her an we also stopped by the nursing home to visit his Ma.

Thursday I spent the day at the hospital with Kelsie, lunch with Jo, and visiting Alan's Ma who ended up in the hospital all before going home to get everything ready.  At this point, I still didn't have my bags completely packed!  I got home around 3, cleaned up the house, got my bags packed and then Alan and I went out to take a few pictures before we left the house!

After that we headed to Nick's to have our last meal as a family of 2!  We were also celebrating our 4 year anniversary this day, however it mainly got pushed aside with everything else going on!  He did have a dozen roses delivered to me at home sometime during that day!  I was actually in the shower when the delivery person came (who happened to be Alan's cousin) so I answered the door in my robe, still dripping wet, hair with shampoo in it, and 9 1/2 months preggo.  I'm sure it was a pretty sight!

After dinner we went to visit with Alan's Ma for a few minutes in the hospital before heading up to OB to get checked in!  Birth Story next!
