Hunter Cole,
...you are 16 months old!
...you were still hanging out around 20 lbs when I took you for your 15 month check up.
...you have 3/4 of your molars, but still no eye teeth.
...obviously you are still in the same clothes and diapers, but you've worked your way up to a size 5 shoe.
...speaking of shoes...you LOVE them. Like want to have a pair on all the time, cry if we don't put them on you. It's rather entertaining. You can put your croks on all by yourself so we leave those out to play with most of the time.
...you have a good vocabulary. I can't even being to count how many words you say, but I bet its well into the hundreds.
...you can name several animals...cow, horse, dog, fish, bear, deer, duck, elephant, just off of the top of my head.
...you love to learn. You are always bringing me your flashcards or books wanting to read!
...you are a busy boy, always on the go. You still prefer to be outside. You love to slide and play in your car. You also love to ride the 4wheeler. We know you are ready to ride because you'll just start saying "ride, ride, ride."
...you are now sleeping in your bed (which we have converted to a toddler bed) in our room. A couple of nights you slept until 4 am before waking up, but your teeth have been bothering you, so you are all outta wack again.
...you are still eating pretty well. You love chicken and sausage. You usually have a cup of milk at bedtime, naptime, and in the morning when you wake up. You are finally drinking out of different kinds of cups and don't really have a preference anymore.
...we are still doing mostly dairy free. We tried to give it to you and your skin started getting rough again so we've stopped for the most part. We let you have things here and there, just not all the time.
...you love all things with wheels. You will sit and drive your car, train, motorocycle, etc up and down our legs as long as we will let you. You usually have something like that in your hands saying "brmmm, brmmm."
...I signed you up to go to "school" 1 day per week about 1 month ago. You have only been twice but you seem to love it. You hollar swing, slide when we pull in. You seem to love playing with the other kids and your teachers just loves you.
...Mommy and Daddy love you to pieces!

14 Months
Hunter Cole,
...you are 14 months old
...you weigh 21.6 lbs. I still haven't measured how tall you are, but you are noticeably taller.
...you still have 8 teeth.
...you are starting to grow out of your 6-12 month pjs and pants. However, I bought you some 12-18 month jeans at Gap and they fall off of you.
...your appetite has really increased this month. You are eating so much and will eat almost anything. Hopefully, you will grow! At this point, we are doing no dairy. We have tried tons of things to see if it helps with your eczema and no dairy has seemed to work best.
...you are still sleeping in the bed with us, but sleeping much better. Hopefully we will begin to transition you to your own bed soon!
...you LOVE milk (almond milk.) You will only drink it out of 1 specific type of cup. We have tried every other type of cup and you want nothing to do with them.
...you are using your fork more and more. You can get the food to your mouth if its on the fork, but if you have a spoon you turn it upside down before you get it to your mouth. However, you prefer to hold your for in your right hand and shovel food in your mouth with your left.
...speaking of left hand, you use it most often so I'm thinking you may be a lefty.
...you still LOVE to be outside. You push your little red car everywhere and you are starting to play with your water table more and more.
...you have finally figured out how to make your 4-wheeler go, but you haven't figured out how to steer. You will go from the kitchen to the living room over and over if we will turn you around.
...this month has been so much fun. You are really starting to learn so much. You know where eyes, nose, ears, mouth, teeth, tongue, and belly are. You love your ears and are constantly pulling at them and saying ears. If you are finding my ear, you HAVE to make sure you touch both of them and say ears!
...you think everything is blue. It doesn't matter what color something is, if we ask you, you always say blue.
...same goes with animal sounds, everything says nay-nay to you.
...all vehicles make the same noise to you also. If you pick up a 4-wheeler, truck, or motorcycle you will stay brmm, brmm. It's too cute. You are continuing to twist the throttle on everything you get on with a handle. Hopefully you will be able to ride your strider bike soon.
...you are such a talker. You are constantly saying new words. I have tried to make a list of the words you are frequently saying, but I KNOW I've left many out.
baby, backpack, ball, banana, bite, blue, book, butt, chance, deer, ears, eat, green, map, milk, momma, no, nose, red, ride, spoon, uh-oh, yellow
...you said your 1st 2 words together...ALL GONE! You also say things like A BALL and HOLD ME.

13 Months
Hunter Cole,
...you are 13 months old.
...you have 8 teeth.
...you are just around 20lbs, no clue how tall you are.
...12-18 month clothes, mostly. You need 9-12 month shorts, or smaller.
...you are walking everywhere. You are so independent and do not like/want to be held. It takes multiple people to keep up with you when we go to the mx races because you are everywhere. You are finally starting to have better balance. You were a very clumsy boy for a while.
...you jibber jabber all the time! Your favorite words are deer, ear, eat, uh oh, and ball. You purposely throw things down just to say uh oh. You have discovered the deer this month and you love to point at it and say deee.
...you are already a dare devil. You love to get on the seat of your 4-wheeler, stand up, and let go. You also love to stand up by yourself in chairs. You have fallen multiple times, but it doesn't phase you.
...you know where your ears, teeth, and tongue are. You LOVE your ears. You pull on them all the time, put your hands over them, and play with them when you are falling asleep.
...speaking of sleep, you have officially taken over our bed. But we are going to have to fix that. I can't get any sleep with you in the bed with us. You are all over me, usually busting my lip.
...you continue to LOVE to be outside and you get so mad when we bring you in.
...I took you swimming at Nana's twice this past week. It takes you quite a while to get used to the water. You don't love it, that's for sure. You finally got comfortable enough that you would let me put you down on the steps and you would play. You are afraid of floats. I have NO CLUE what made you scared of them, but you start screaming and shaking every time someone gets one close to you. Your Aunt Cole actually uses one on the end of her porch to keep you from trying to get down. You start swimming lessons at the end of this month...should be interesting. We put you in the lake for the 1st time last weekend and you HATED it. You were already in a really crabby mood, so I'm hoping that had something to do with it.
...you will eat almost anything. Blueberries are the only thing you've spit out. You love milk and would drink 10 glasses per day if we would let you. You are very particular about your cup and almost won't drink out of anything else.
...you love to push things...your 4-wheeler, your cozy couple, your tricycle. Basically anything with wheels. You get so mad when someone tries to help you.
...you think anything with handle bars has a twist throttle like a motorcycle. Everyone says you are destined to ride dirt bikes. I'm still not sure how I feel about that. You get on your 4-wheeler and your strider bike and start twisting the grip, EVERY TIME.

1 Year
Hunter Cole,
...I cannot believe I am writing your one year post. You have grown so fast.
...you are 19 lbs &11 oz and 28 inches tall, both around the 10th percentile. You are a tiny little guy!
...you are still wearing the same size clothes and diapers. 9-12 and 12-18 month clothes and size 3 diapers.
...you have 7 teeth. This month you gained a new one on the bottom right. Now you have 4 on top, 3 on bottom.
...you are walking everywhere. You are almost a full time walker. You haven't quite figured out how to walk in your shoes, but you are doing great otherwise.
...you are still eating 3 meals per day, plus snacks. Your diet has really changed this month though. You are drinking whole, organic cows milk and are eating gluten free. I started the gluten free to see if it makes a difference with your skin...I still haven't determined if it makes much of a difference, but I'm so glad we made the switch. It has forced me to feed you much healthier. You love most fruits and veggies. Also, you love white cheddar puffs. When you get hungry you come to us and say eat, eat, eat!
...you are all boy. You love to be outside and if anyone goes out without taking you, you throw the biggest fit. You will sit and play in the gravels all day if we would let you. However, you aren't crazy about the way the grass feels on your skin. You love to ride the 4-wheeler and RZR.
...you are still being shy, but warming up to people much quicker. You are having quite a bit of seperation anxiety this month. You scream any time I (or your Aunt Cole) get out of your sight.
...you are still talking quite a bit and you are repeating a lot. You still love Dora and have said Dora a couple of times. You will say "map" and your daddy says you have said "backpack." You're other favorite word is shit. Yes, I know that's not what you are trying to say, but we still haven't figured out what you are actually saying.
...you love your Aunt Cole. She's about the only person you will directly go to if I am holding you. I love to watch her with you, she loves you so much and she is so good with you. You are one very lucky little boy to have her as your Aunt.
...you "call the dog" anytime we are around a dog. You have been doing this for a couple of months, but I kept forgetting to put it in your post.
...you know where your ears are and pull at them all the time. You will also find everyone else's nose. We are working on eyes and mouth.
...your Uncle Michael taught you how to hold your hands up and twist your hands like you are riding a motorcycle. It is so funny to watch you do.
...you are starting to get the hang of pushing the button on your little 4-wheeler to make it go. You still don't know how to steer, but you're finally getting it to move, without pushing it.

1st Birthday Inspiration.
I'm in full party planning mode. I can't believe that Hunter will be 1 year old in less than a month. It blows my mind.
I wanted to share some of my inspiration photos...
I wanted to share some of my inspiration photos...
I have a thing for aqua and orange. Hunter's room is decorated with those colors. I'm not really a theme person, so we don't have one...ha! I designed his invitations today and I think they turned out pretty good...especially considering I had never designed anything like that before.

11 months....
Hunter Cole,
...you are 11 months old.
...you weight 18 lbs and 10 oz, i'm not sure how tall you are but you look like you've grown some.
...you are still wearing mostly 6-12 month clothing. You can wear some 12-18 month shirts. You are still in a size 3 diaper.
...you still have 6 teeth. I'm expecting you to get some more any time. You have been cranky for the past couple of days, so I'm wondering if this is why.
...you are so close to walking. You took your 1st step on March 23rd. You have done it a few times since. You will let go and stand unassisted if you aren't thinking about it. You just need a little courage and you'll be walking everywhere. However, I'm not pushing you, as I'm not ready for you to walk yet.
...you are eating 3 meals and day and then you also have snacks at times. You love veggie cheetos and gold fish. You will eat almost anything. You love to try to feed yourself with the spoon and have starting trying to "feed" mommy and daddy. You will share your food and bottle with us. We are mostly done nursing. You will nurse 1-2 times per day, but I think it's more for comfort than anything. You are on soy milk right now, but I think we may have to change because it seems to be bothering your belly.
...you have turned into quite the shy guy lately. Anytime anyone (who you don't know) talks to you, you will lay your head on my shoulder.
...you are babbling away. You said momma for the 1st time on March 28th when we were out to dinner at Wild Wings. Your other words include: dada, bite, nana, uh-oh, hey, and cole. You also said peek-a-boo clear as day the other night, but we haven't been able to get you to say it again.
...you had your Easter pictures made this month. They turned out so good. You were quite the ham for the camera. And you loved the bunnies and chicks, however, you weren't very nice to the. You were constantly pulling on the bunnies ears and picking the chicks up by their wings and head.
...you started sleeping through the night on March 17th. You slept well for about 1 week and then we had to break your routine. So for now, we are back to being up 1-2 per night.
...you love to be outside. If you are fussy, we can usually go outside and you will immediately calm down. At first, you weren't sure what to think of the grass, so you would't move. But you've gotten over that and you're crawling everywhere outside now.
...you also love to "ride"...the 4-wheeler, in the jeep, and on the rzr.
...you are quite the momma's boy right now. You are constantly at my feet and most of the time you want me to hold you.
...you love the itzy bitzy spider and the abc's.
...you are always on the move and HATE when we have to change your diaper. You get so mad and try to crawl away.
...you are 11 months old.

Our Atlanta Ikea experience!
Ikea, for us is a 3-4 hour drive. We needed new bedroom furniture, but we aren't ready to get a king size bed yet. We know when we build a house that we want a king size bed in our bedroom so we decided to get our bedroom furniture from ikea for now. Eventually it will be used in a guest bedroom and we will get something a little more durable for our bedroom. I had looked at the Hemnes line in the store last year and knew that I liked the way it looked. One of my friends has the chest and she loves it. I got online and read the reviews for it, most of them were pretty good.
I was scheduled to work Friday night, but I got put on call. I knew I wasn't going to have another chance to go without having to risk missing one of Logan's races so I decided to go ahead and go. I never thought much about it being Easter weekend and a Saturday. Mom came down to go with me. We took Alan's truck. I had no idea if the whole bedroom suit would fit in the truck, but I was hopeful.
Once we got there, we looked through the whole store. I had only been one other time and we didn't buy much and didn't purchase any large items, so I wasn't exactly prepared for the warehouse experience. After shopping for quite a while and getting all the number/isles/bins wrote down we made our way to the warehouse. I had checked the website before we left to make sure they had the items in stock. They will ship, but it cost over $300.
As I got into the warehouse and started looking for the stuff we needed, we quickly found out most everything I wanted was sold out. I asked several different employees if I had any other options since I had driven so far. Basically all of them said "no." They explained that Saturday was their busiest day and that all of their inventory was on the floor. They told me to talk to customer service, see when the item would be back in stock, and then drive back to get it. I was so frustrated.
We ended up finding the mirror, nightstands and the chest. We just needed the dresser and the bed. I found box 2 & 3 to the dresser but box 1 was no where to be found. Mom suggested I got back and talk to customer service and ask if they would sell a display. When I got to the desk, I explained the situation to the man who was working. He quickly and polietly told me that they had put more beds out but there just weren't in the right spot. He took me straight to them. After that, I asked him about the dresser. He told me to stand of to the side of the desk and wait. I waited for a while. He had went to help other customers and I was beginning to think he had forgot about me, went on break, left work, etc. Then the other guy working got a phone call, looked at me, and told me to go to isle 25.
He had found the dresser!!! They had a whole pallet of them but no one had gotten them down. I was so relieved and excited! I thanked him a million times and then went on to tell his boss how wonderful he was. I'm not sure why everyone else told me the items were completely out of stock, but thankful I didn't get in and just kept asking.
So, here are my tips for shopping at Ikea....for 1st time shoppers!
1. Don't go on SATURDAY. They told me that was the worst day of the week. It was very crowded while we are there.
2. If you are making a long trip, call before you go to make sure they have the item in stock. At that time, you can ask them to hold the item for you (if it's during the week.)
3. If the store is crowded, don't spend too much time browsing or you may risk one of your items selling out. You could also go as soon as they open if you want to spend a lot of time shopping.
4. Take someone, preferably a man with you. They do not have designated employees to assist you with loading. Me and my mom managed okay, but it would have been nice to have some more muscles.
5. Eat before you go into the store. It is HUGE! You will spend more time in the store than you think and will be starving while you shop. They do have a cafeteria, but I haven't tried their food.
